The Field Of The Cloth Of ..... Plastic!


Don't worry if you feel like you are being lead down the garden path. You are, just don't take it personally.

At the end of the garden just negotiate this stile ..... Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 80
..... head on down the leafy tunnel ..... Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 81
..... which soon opens up and ..... Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 82
..... leads you to this stile. Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 83

At this point, things tend to get a tad agricultural.

You emerge onto the shiny fields.

But hang on, that's not silver it's polythene!

Oh well, so much for the Great Cornish Silver Strike!

Walk along the bottom of this field and then up the side towards the telegraph pole. Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 85
You'll come across this stile.

If you want to successfully complete this walk we suggest you use it.

In the next field head upwards on the left side ..... Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 87
..... and then turn right and continue along the top of the field. Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 88
Part way along you come across the next way marker.

At this point we had to resort to the map and then the crystal ball. The field on the other side had a line of wire strung around just inside the perimeter which sort of implied that we should go round the edge.

However, there was a rather large, evil-looking cow lurking in the way of where we thought we'd go next and so we jumped the wire and headed straight across the field.

If you go through the farmyard you end up on a road, which is not a total disaster but nor is it the way of the righteous! Route of St. Michael's Way, Penwith, Cornwall 93
